Tallahassee Florida, November 16, 2010 – While new legislators are being sworn into office a delegation of Tea Party organizers will be meeting in room 401 of the Senate Office Building where they will strategize about legislative concerns throughout the State. One of the main concerns is a law that has come to be known as the “SB550 The Septic Tank Law”, which will affect 2.7 million Floridians. On the agenda for the November 16th Special Session is a proposal to postpone the implementation of this law scheduled for January 1, 2011. The Tea Party delegation supports Senator Don Gaetz, House Member Marti Coley, and other legislators who are asking for the delay.
Delegates attending the summit are from as far away as Miami, Northeast and Northwest Florida and all points in between. They represent thousands of Floridians and will discuss various topics such as, Amendments to Constitution in 2012; SunRail; Septic Tank Law; EPA NNC; and Florida Product Approval, just to name a few.
The main purpose of the Tea Party Summit is to allow legislators to meet the organizers of these groups so they will understand that the Florida Tea Party Network is here for the duration, engaged, watching and back in Tallahassee OFTEN.
